(don’t worry, I won’t be making a habit of featuring sportswear).

The new loves of my life are Liberty floral print shirts. They come in 3 sizes: normal, slim, very slim (I wouldn’t say the slim is particularly snug-fitting however, more straight) and a large number of different print designs. They are £75 each and can be found in menswear department in the basement, along with London’s best selection of ties. Personally I like the look of at least 15 of them, which would certainly up the points total on my Liberty card.
Selfridges are currently having a very large sale.
Items available include Gieves & Hawkes shirts reduced from £79 to £59 for the merchant banker in your life and lots of reductions on Duffer of St George amongst many others. Unfortunately the Nigel Hall tank top I bought wasn’t reduced.
I was quite keen on the Ralph Lauren & Le Tigre polo shirts, but they were full price (£49).
There is also the largest amount of foul near-day-glo Ralph Lauren shirts I’ve ever seen in one place before.
Bailey is a London menswear shop which has good quality jumpers, shirts, coats and accessories – a more reasonably priced Paul Smith. It has two branches, one in Shorts Gardens (north of Covent Garden) and one in Carnaby Street.
Unfortunately it does not appear to have a website. Perhaps they should get one.
Selfridges – probably the best single store in the UK. They have outlets in Manchester, Birmingham & the flagship store in London Oxford Street. Unfortunately you cannot buy online.
g.room – an online store and a shop in Carnaby Street, London. They sell a wide range of products: from Ozwald Boateng shirts & ties to J.Fold wallets to the aftershave James Bond wears. An ideal shop to buy gifts from.
