Howies – fantastic customer service

Posted on by 0 comment

I had to return something to Howies recently (a merino layer bought in their sale) as it was too large. The customer service was FANTASTIC – they didn’t have the item in the smaller size, so they called me, I chose something similar and got it very, very quickly.

I really recommend their Merino layers…

I like this waxed cotton jacket from trainerspotter… around £100, available in Size in Carnaby Street. Apart from the bloody logo.

Milan thoughts

Well, I’ve just got back from a shopping trip / holiday to Lake Como and Milan. Here are my observations:

Italian men aren’t outstandingly stylish. They most certainly do not go around in well cut suits on scooters all the time. They do enjoy draping a jumper over the shoulders for some reason though.

Italy is an expensive place to visit. I saw a lovely silk / cashmere Brioni scarf. It was 400 Euro. And as for the Loro Piana jacket I spotted in Bellagio…

Don’t go via Linate Airport! Go via Malpensa. (Also go BA, when we got home there were news stories about Airitalia grounding flights due to running out of fuel).

Go to the Acqua Di Parma shop.

That’s all for now.
